Carole Holme

Gold is precious. Silver shines. For millennia people have used gold and silver to adorn and embellish. The Anglo-Saxon Hoard found in a Staffordshire field is an excellent example. ‘Glistening, Glittering’ brings together an eclectic mix of Goldwork embroidery techniques using traditional threads, wires and kid leather. Carole’s aim is to inspire and promote hand embroidery techniques through teaching, demonstrating and exhibiting. Her training at the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace, supports her aim.
